The Little Monadnock Trail branches from the Rhododendron State Park loop and climbs for one mile, where it joins the Metacomet-Monadnock (M+M) Trail on open ledges near the summit. There is a vista of Mount Monadnock at the junction of the two trails. Turning south on the M+M leads to the true summit of Little Monadnock about a half-mile away.
