Public Hearing for Proposed Ordinance Changes
The Fitzwilliam Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Lower Meeting Hall (Town Hall) to review all proposed ordinance changes.
Proposed Zoning Ordinance changes to:
- Chapter 127-9:B – Accessory Dwelling Units – to allow for one attached or one detached accessory dwelling unit by right.
- Chapter 127-10 Appendix C – Government, Institutional and Public Service Uses – to allow for home-based day care facilities by right.
- Chapter 127-16.3:E – Historic District Overlay Ordinance - to clarify the roles and duties of the Historic District Commission.
- Chapter 127-16.4 – Workforce Housing Overlay District – to clarify the language of the ordinance and allow for more flexibility for the developer.
- Chapter 127-21:A and C – General Provisions – to comply with State Law (SB284 and RSA 674:16) requiring one parking spot for each dwelling unit.
- Chapter 127-23 – Exception in VCB District – to comply with State Law (SB284 and RSA 674:16) requiring one parking spot for each dwelling unit.
- Chapter 97 – Building Construction – to adopt the state building code; and amend title of Chapter 127-39 to read “Building Permit”.
This meeting is being held in-person. You have the option to participate in the meeting remotely. However, the meeting will not be postponed or stopped if there are issues or problems with remote options.
