The petition warrant article on the Monadnock Regional School District warrant submitted by the Town of Troy to change the funding formula from 75% based on enrollment 25% based on property values to 50% based on enrollment, 50% based on property values will appear on the school ballot for voting on election day.
If this change is passed on election day, it will increase your property taxes significantly.

As illustrated in the above chart, under the proposed change to the funding formula the Town of Fitzwilliam will be paying an additional $706,457.60 towards school funding. This is approximately $2.44 on the school tax rate. On a house valued at $200,000 this would equate to an increase in the tax bill of $488.00 this year.
Voting on this article will be held on Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 11am to 7pm. We need all voters to vote at the annual election! Only YOU the voters can defeat this proposed change.
